Instructions for Oral Presentations
All oral presentations should be provided as either Power Point file (.ppt or .pptx) or Portable Document Format (.pdf). Presentations must be in English. Oral sessions are scheduled for 20 minutes presentations, questions included.
On-site technical support will be provided to facilitate and coordinate the smooth delivery of all oral presentations. Each room will have a microphone, a podium, a computer connected to a multimedia projector and a screen.
Files can be uploaded to the local PCs in the lecture rooms during the breaks between the sessions.
In any case, please be sure to have the file of your presentation saved in a USB stick with you.
Please, name your presentation accordingly: "Session ID (XX)_Family name”.
Please, arrive at least 15 minutes before the session begins, so that you can check in with the session chair and co-chair and sure that all you need is available for your presentation.
Instructions for Poster Presentations
Posters must be mounted on Sunday October 2nd afternoon between 18:00 and 20:00 or on Monday 3rd morning between 08:00 and 10:00 and remain on display until the end of the Conference (Wednesday October 5th, 18:00).
The poster dimension should be as an A0 sheet (84,1 cm wide x 118,9 cm high). All the material for mounting the posters will be provided in the poster area.
Authors are requested to be present at their posters during all the poster session highlighted in the conference programme.
Please refer to the Congress Final Program for the poster number assigned to you and use the board with the same number.
Poster Awards (Sponsored by Gibertini)
A poster prize will be awarded for the best three posters. All posters will be eligible for nomination for the award. The winners of the poster award will be announced during the award ceremony on Tuesday 5th October (h. 17:30).
Publication
The fullpapers will be collected in the Proceedings, included in the conference kit. The proceedings will be indexed.
A selection of papers actually presented at the Conference will be considered for publication in the Journals:
- Measurement (Elsevier) - 10 papers in a special issue dedicated to 2nd IMEKOFOODS
- Food Chemistry (Elsevier) - 10 papers
- Journal of Food Composition and Analysis (Elsevier) - 10 papers
- ACTA IMEKO (IMEKO) - 10 papers in a special issue dedicated to 2nd IMEKOFOODS
For each Journal, the papers will be selected by an ad hoc Committee in agreement with the Journal Editorial Board. In all cases, it is mandatory that the papers will be expanded versions of what was actually presented at the Conference. The selection process will be done at the end of the Conference and authors will be contacted and asked about their willingness to expand and submit the presented research results. Then, all the articles will have to be submitted for publication in the respective Journal and will be subjected to the usual review process of the Journal itself.
